Durga Puja is coming up soon and preparations are on in all quarters of GSCA from the Board of Trustees to the Entertainment committee to the Food and Transportation committees the whole club is buzzing with activity.
The Pre-registration committee has published the website with the pre-registration links at www.gsca.us and they request that all of you members and patrons to go to it and sign up now!!
A lot of hard work goes into making the puja a success and I am a first-hand witness to this phenomenon. The volunteers in our club are priceless as they spend their days and nights ensuring that everything goes according to plan and believe me, it's not an easy task. Most visitors to the GSCA puja are in awe of the premises, the arrangements, the entertainment and the food (the Mangsho does it for me!!) but no one really sees the work that goes into making this grand event such a success. Thank you all our volunteers! Without you, we would never be able to do it.
Watch this blog for further updates....until next time, adieu and good bye.
Year after year, the selfless efforts of the dedicated members and volunteers resulted the most successful cultural and religious events like Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja. The outstanding performance by well-known artists from India and US, and the friendly environment have made GSCA one of the most popular Bengali associations in the tri-state area New Jersey. GSCA also organizes and sponsors various other events such as Bengali Dramas by a visiting theatrical group from Calcutta, Christmas Party, Baishakhi, Picnic, etc. The association is very much thankful to all its attendees in the Puja and other events. A part of their donation is spent on humanitarian grounds and to support needy people in US and India. GSCA encourages and invites interested individuals and their families to join and participate actively for its current commitment, future growth and diversification.
